Although not as well-known as mahogany or oak furniture, sheesham is prized for its durability, moisture resistance and solidity. This traditional hardwood renowned for its beautiful variegated grain patterns, and rich colour. It is incredibly hard and very heavy which makes it ideal for bearing the wears and tears of modern family life. The beautiful wood is kiln dried to stabilise its properties before being waxed by hand to protect and deepen the lustre of the grain and provide a durable heat & scratch resistant finish.

We searched long and hard to find this supplier as the quality of work in this kind of furniture varies considerably. All the wood is sourced responsibly from government managed plantations, and the furniture supplied from a single factory who verify the build quality of each individual piece. This is a natural product and some natural minor imperfections only to add character.
